Fodor's Review

This expensive hotel on the Lake includes the Andrean Roots Eco Village, a cultural museum, an observatory, a rather basic spa and gym, and a small children's park. Hydrofoils depart daily from the dock alongside the hotel to the Sun and Moon islands, Copacabana, and Puno (on the Peruvian side of the lake). You can make reservations at the hotel or with Crillón Tours' office in La Paz. The restaurant serves fine international cuisine and is a popular destination for Paceños

for Sunday lunch. Your receipt will get you into the Andean Roots Eco Village and the Museo del Altiplano. A boardwalk extends out onto the lake to the Choza Nautica thatch-roof restaurant, which we have never seen open.
