Mercado Negro
Mercado Negro Review
For contemporary clothes, try the Mercado Negro on Calle Max Paredes. For the ultimate flea-market experience, visit the Feria 16 de Julio in El Alto on Thursday or Sunday. As one of the largest markets in the world, here you can buy anything from a forklift truck to a Kalishnikov rifle. There's no address, as it covers almost the whole city. Don't carry anything at all with you: pickpocketing is rife.
