Cochabamba

Cochabamba

This bustling metropolis is one of the oldest cities in Bolivia, and many buildings from the 16th century stand along its narrow streets. Built on the traditional grid pattern, the central part of Cochabamba is divided into quadrants beginning at the intersection of Avenida de las Heroínas and Avenida Ayacucho. Streets are labeled norte (north), sur (south), este (east), and oeste (west). The quadrant is included as an abbreviation in the address; for example, Hotel Aranjuez is located at Calle Buenos Aires E-0563.
