Wine Regions Sights

Bodega Atamisque

  • Winery/Brewery/Distillery

Updated 08/13/2014

Fodor's Review

The gray adobe building with its uneven slate roof, reminiscent of houses in Spain and France, almost disappears against the background of bushes and mountains. But once inside this boutique winery, visitors quickly see the dedication to detail and the creation of fine wines that is the mission of its French owners. They bought this enormous estancia property (the boundaries of which date back to 1658, when the Jesuits owned it) and named it after a native tree. In addition to the winery, Atamisque includes a trout farm, a 9-hole golf course, a restaurant, and accommodations.
