Fodor's Review

With a past score of 97 from Wine Spectator for its Malbec, Santiago Achaval's winery on the banks of the Mendoza River continues to score consistently high points for reds. Guided visits include barrel and bottle tastings. Try the Quimera—a delicious blend of red grapes (Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc) grown on three different fincas, including one in the Uco Valley; quantities of each grape are adjusted according to their quality.
