Presa de Embalse Quebrada de Ullum (Ullum Valley Dam Reservoir)

Presa de Embalse Quebrada de Ullum (Ullum Valley Dam Reservoir) Review

The Presa de Embalse Quebrada de Ullum, 15 km (9 mi) west of San Juan, is a huge hydroelectric complex with grand views of the Río San Juan. Windsurfing, sailing, swimming, rowing, fishing, and diving keep San Juaninos cool on hot summer days. You can rent boating equipment at the Bahía Las Tablas sports complex, just beyond the dam, where there are a café and change cabins. There's a public beach at the Embarcadero turnoff. You can white-water raft and kayak on the San Juan, Los Patos, and Jachal rivers. Fishing in Las Hornillas River can be arranged through local tour companies.
