Fodor's Review

The Provincial Archaeological Museum houses such treasures as a 2,600-year-old ceramic goddess and the 700-year-old mummy of a teen boy found in Tilcara. Ancient bones are on display, too—including the skeleton of a cap-wearing shaman buried with his medical kit. Ceramic pots painted with geometric designs from Yavi and Humahuaca are constantly being added to the collection.
