Macacha Gourmet Review
In a 100-year-old former school building is Cafayate's most ambitious restaurant, hosted by friendly owner Matías. The three dining rooms are themed after the local Nanni, Domingo Hermanos, and Etchart bodegas, with wine displays and special cutlery. The decoration is from all around the world, but the food is strictly local, with llama, quinoa, rabbit, kid, and Andean potatoes prominent on the menu. The convivial wine bar stays open late to serve its wines from every bodega in town. Live music and dancing goes on some weekends.
