During the fishing season (November 15-April 15, extended to the end of May in certain areas) local guides take you to their favorite spots on Lakes Lácar, Lolog, Villarino, and Falkner and on the Caleufu, Quiquihue, Malleo, and Hermoso rivers, or farther afield to the Chimehuín River and Lakes Huechulafquen and Paimún.

Parque Nacional Intendencia. Permits are available at the Parque Nacional Intendencia or any licensed fishing stores along Avenida San Martín. Most stores and tour operators can suggest guides. Emilio Frey 749, Bariloche, Río Negro, 8400. 2972/427-233.
