Professional fishing guides in San Martín de los Andes, Junín, and Aluminé have their favorite fishing spots, and they offer excursions for a day or a week. To contact a guide, go to www.neuquentur.gov.ar. Fishing lodges lie concealed along the Chimihín River near Junín de los Andes and deeper into the lakes at Paimún. Smaller rivers such as the Malleo, Quillén, Meliquina, and Hua Hum are ideal for wading. In larger rivers like the Aluminé, Chimihuín, and Caleufu, guides provide rubber float boats.
