Just 20 minutes from Bariloche, on the west shore of lovely Lago Gutiérrez, this venerable old lodge has been spruced up inside and out, where a profusion of flowers fills its vast lawns and woods—perhaps that's why guests tend to stay on the premises, enjoying the many activities as well as the quiet and solitude at this country lodge. Kayaks and bikes invite you to take off across the lake or into the woods. A summer bike ride from the Catedral ski area is all downhill, with a dip in the lake and a beer or tea and cakes at the end of the ride. Skiers have a back road (unless it's closed) up to the ski area, thus avoiding the traffic from Bariloche.
