If sushi isn't your first culinary association with La Plata, think again: the city is home to one of Argentina's largest Japanese communities. Second-generation chef Karen Yonashiro's quiet restaurant has become a favorite for its reasonably priced sushi and sashimi—salmon is the favored fish here. Wasabi ice-cream makes a punchy finish.
