Cordoba and Environs Sights

Los Terrones

  • Park (National/State/Provincial)

Fodor's Review

Over the last 180 million years, air and water have eroded soft red sandstone to form the huge, bizarrely shaped formations in the park of Los Terrones. Although you can drive through the arid landscape, it's worth leaving your car at the entrance: the trail makes for a fascinating two-hour walk that culminates in great views of the Cerro Pajarillo and the valleys surrounding Capilla del Monte. Watch for condors, eagles, and falcons, which are often seen from the top.
