Many places in Argentina have high-speed Internet access. Nearly every hotel in Buenos Aires has the Internet on computers in the lobby or business center that are available for free or for a fee. All the international hotels offer in-room connections. Wi-Fi isn't widely available, and service can be shaky. There are scores of Internet cafés, known as locutorios, throughout the city. Most have high-speed access and charge around 3 pesos an hour.
You can mail cards and packages from various convenience-type stores throughout town; pharmacies, phone centers, and malls also provide mail services, in addition to the post offices. Several local and international private couriers compete with the Correo Argentino (Argentine Post) with such services, as overnight mail, packaging, arranging money wires and telegrams, and tracking certified letters.
