  Frank's Bar Review

  I was really excited about the prospect of going to
  Frank's Bar. It is kind of a seedy neighborhood which added to the attraction . You had to get the password from either Twitter or Facebook . On Facebook they post a picture and you are supposed to guess the password. It was picture of a woman inserting a disk into what apparently was one of the
  first computers. You were supposed to guess John Eckert. Google him.
  
  So we go , buzz the doorbell, and give the password to the doorman corrects my pronunciation to more of an Argentine pronunciation, but whatever my pronunciation was correct he was an American.
  
  You then have to go to telephone booth where you dial 2, 3,4, 5. Cool. The side of the phone booth and it opens. We enter the bar which is darkly lit. No one greeted us so we just sat at one of the sofas and chairs. We were looking at the drink menu when a young woman came up and asked us if we had a reservation. I told her that I had emailed for a reservation but since we were only 4 we were rejected. She asked us nicely to please sit at the bar and she would have a table for us upstairs. We placed an order at the bar but she had the table ready. They were in the center of the balcony overlooking the main floor.
  
  The bar is nice with crystal chandeliers,fabrics on the ceiling to cover the warehouse which it probably was, and material and wallpaper on the walls. The furniture is a mix of French provincial and modern. The bar has a DJ.
  
  We ordered 3 Heinekens and a cucumber martini. The bill was around $160 pesos. ($40usd) I just thought it was a bit overpriced. It was nice but just not that nice. The cucumber martini alone was $80 pesos.
  
  The staff was okay but not the usual attentive staff that you find in Argentina.
  
  Go for the novelty and have a beer, but be prepared.
