Jardin Escondido Review
This is the personal home of director Francis Ford Coppola, who lived here while filming Tetro in 2008 and still visits regularly. Guests have the choice of renting the entire house (6 rooms), half of it (2-3 rooms), or individual rooms. If you have the money, it's worth it. The beautifully restored home is decorated with Latin American artwork chosen by Eleanor Coppola. The high-ceilinged family room teems with film books and other literary offerings, while the outside patio has a small pool and a parrilla. The back side of the house features Coppola's personal room, equipped with a gorgeous wood shaving sink and large closets. Above, the namesake "Hidden Garden" is jammed with exotic flowers and fruit trees and blessed with both sunshine and shade, perfect for working on your latest masterpiece.
