On weekends upscale craftsmen transform a posh Belgrano square into the Feria de Artesanías de Belgrano. Alpaca is a popular material here, both for jewelry and for adorning items like divided boxes for storing tea-bags. Other offerings include leather sandals and clogs, knitted ponchos, and wooden toys. If you're in town near Christmas this is a great place to buy nativity scenes and tree ornaments.
