Crowded and lively, particularly at lunch, Filo is the place for pizza and pasta in the downtown area. True Neapolitan-style pies with smoky, charred crusts direct from the wood-fired oven are among the best in the city. For a real treat, order the Filo, a wheel of a pizza with each slice a different topping according to the pizzero's whims. Pastas are served perfectly al dente—a rarity in town—and come with both classic and creative sauces. If you're dining solo,
the bar is a great spot to grab a stool and strike up a conversation. No photos allowed: the management cheekily say some guests "may be dining with someone that they'd prefer their spouse doesn't see." Check out the ever-changing art gallery in the basement.

Good all around pizza joint, and they offer great salads and other Italian entrees also. The portions are large so you can easily share. The calzone my friend ordered was definitely enough for 2 hungry people.

I ate here twice out of convenience, since it was down the street from my hotel. Filo is a very trendy pizzeria / bar / restaurant that is open late and attracts a good looking crowd of local young people. The music is painfully loud, but it appears that they like it that way. If you like that sort of thing, you'll be very happy here. I don't myself, but I found the people watching very entertaining. I enjoyed the food, and since I wasn't in
a hurry, the slow service really didn't bother me.
