Munich Recoleta Review
Jam-packed Munich Recoleta has been a favorite gathering spot for high-brow locals for half a century, and the menu has barely changed since its 1956 opening. Premium cuts of meat, milanesas, creamed spinach, shoestring potatoes, and chucrut (cabbage) are served quickly and in generous portions. The reasonably priced wine list is enormous but well chosen. The lively atmosphere attracts young and old alike, despite the often cantankerous waiters. You might see a local politician, television journalist, or fashion model in here—you never know. Arrive early to avoid a wait. Reservations are not accepted after 9 pm.
