Fodor's Finds Hotels
Book NowBoBo Review
Comfortable, quirky BoBo shrewdly combines the bourgeois with the bohemian. In fact the hotel's name is a play on David Brooks's 2000 book, Bobos in Paradise, which you can find in the lobby library. Each room has a different motif—art deco, minimalist, techno. The largest and most luxurious, the Argentina Suite, is decorated in bright colors and has a small outdoor patio and hot tub. All rooms have creature comforts, such as soft robes and amenities like Wi-Fi access and DVD players. The downstairs restaurant-café is a nice place to relax after pounding Palermo's pavement all day.

All of the staff at this hotel are very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant is very good. Feels like more of an intimate b&b than a hotel. Try to avoid staying in the most basic rooms as they are on the small side

I spent the nights of June 6 and 7, 2009 at Bobo, and stayed at the minimalist room (number 3). My first impression of the hotel was poor, having arrived in town at 3 pm on Saturday, and being unable to get some rest in the room due to the drilling and hammering going on next door. I would have appreciated the staff warning me about this fact at the time of making the booking. The noise can be extremely loud, and is supposed to continue for a while (I checked with the front desk as to when they expected the construction work to be over).
A sceond element that reduced my enthusiasm for the hotel was the poorly made bed (wrinkled sheets included), the low quality of the towels and bath robes provided, and the fact that the housekeepers did not provide me during my stay with shower caps and on one occasion even forgot to leave soap.
On the positive side, the front desk staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
