Panamericano

Fodor's Review:

The popular, upscale Panamericano is near the famed Teatro Colón and the landmark Obelisco. The lobby's checked-marble floors lead to large salons, a snazzy café, and an Irish pub. Rooms are spacious and elegant, with dark wooden headboards and smart furnishings. Don't miss a chance to dine in the outstanding Tomo I restaurant or at what must be the nation's highest sushi bar, Kasuga, on the 23rd floor. The top-floor pool and spa afford amazing views. Visit in the late afternoon to watch the soft pastels of a smoggy sunset give way to the neon glow on the world's widest avenue, Av. 9 de Julio.
