Kitsch up your living room with an ornate loveseat stripped of its paint and reupholstered in original prints or candy-cane stripes. Divide and conquer with an old steel street ad transformed into a folding screen. Carlos Gardel's face beams from painted bowling pins, just some of a few items that fall on the wrong side of the offbeat-tasteless dividing line.
