Mismatched tables and chairs, comfy leather sofas, and poptastic colors fill this cute, century-old corner house that used to be a traditional pharmacy. Generous breakfasts and afternoon teas are served on the cozy ground floor, lunch and dinner are in the first-floor dining room, and you can have late-night drinks on the bright-yellow roof terrace. Arts and dance workshops are run upstairs, and the building has two boutiques selling local designers' work. The modern Argentine dishes are simple but well done, and the fixed-price lunch and dinner menus get you a lot for a little.

Stop by after a morning of shopping the open market in San Telmo. We had the raviolis and the eggplant which was wonderful. We also shared one of their mixed green salads which was very good. The restaurant is not inexpensive and we left for a party of four spending about $50 including wine but we share about 4 of the appetizers which had generous servings.
