This enormous art deco hotel is a throwback to an earlier era. It would be the perfect image for a cover of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead. Inside molded pillars support a stained-glass ceiling, which filters sunlight onto white marble floors. Upstairs the contemporary rooms have dark wood floors and color schemes that include bold oranges, reds, and black. The rooftop pool and patio are beloved by TV-commercial producers, thanks to the view of the cupolas in nearby San Telmo.
