La Trastienda

Fodor's Review:

A San Telmo institution, La Trastienda brings in respected artists from all over to play its intimate stage. Some shows are seated affairs; others pack 1,000-plus into the small space to listen and dance to jazz, blues, tango, salsa, reggae, or rock. World-renowned musicians like Maceo Parker, Café Tacuba, Jorge Drexler, and Kevin Johansen have played here, but the club takes pains to promote local artists as well.
