Fodor's Review

Named for the villain of the tango, Malevo was the first eatery to bring sleek modern dining to the city's classic tango district. The old corner building has large plate-glass windows and an intimate slate-and-aubergine interior where lights are low and white linen abounds. The house's excellent wine selection is on display behind a polished wooden bar—savor a bottle with your Rebelión en la Granja (pork with braised fennel and tapenade) or homemade goat-cheese ravioli with sun-dried tomatoes and almonds.
