Fodor's Expert Review Francesco
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
With a privileged view of a quiet residential street in Palermo, Francesco was one of the first high-end Peruvian restaurants in Buenos Aires. While it's still as good as it ever was, these days it faces some stiff competition where the food is just as good or, in a couple of cases, even better. But the ceviches continue to be wonderful, and the chef shows a deft hand with fresh fish. The dining room is elegant, and the service is efficient (if rather formal). The place lacks the bells and whistles of the newer spots, but it's perfect if you want to avoid a "scene."
