Its unassuming facade makes it easy to miss this little gem. Inside you'll find one of the country's best collections of folk art. One especially interesting exhibit in the bright, airy gallery is an explanation of cajones San Marcos, the boxlike portable altars that priests once carried as they moved from village to village. Peasants began to make their own, placing scenes of local life inside. These dioramas, ranging in size from less than an inch to more than a foot wide, are still made today.
