Rising out of a nondescript residential neighborhood is this mud-brick pyramid. The pre-Inca huaca, or temple, dates back to at least the 4th century. Archaeologists are still working on the site, and are usually happy to share their discoveries about the people who lived in this area hundreds of years before the Inca. A tiny museum highlights some of their recent finds. Knowledgable guides are available in Spanish and English.
