An engaging French-Peruvian couple manage the best restaurant in Aguas Calientes, and this pink bistro is possibly the only restaurant in town not to have pizza on its menu. Quiche lorraine, ginger chicken, and spicy trucha macho (trout in hot pepper and wine sauce) are favorites here, and are usually available as part of the more reasonably priced (S/38) prix-fixe menu. Top it off with a fine coffee and apple pie or flan for dessert. The restaurant presents each diner with a tiny ceramic pot or bowl as its calling card.

This is a real restaurant, something which cannot be said about most Aquas Calientes food outlets. The food is certainly good, although not extraordinary. It may very well be the best in Aguas Calientes though.

Don't be put off by the plain sounding menu. This restaurant is delicious and just right for celebrating after seeing Machu Picchu.
