Fodor's Review:
Virtually unknown to tourists despite its location in the Mariscal district, this no-frills eatery serves exquisite Ecuadoran seafood lunches. Try the viche (a hearty fish-and-peanut soup served with corn on the cob and plantain dumplings) or corbina menestra (fish served with rice, lentils, and patacones, green bananas fried in oil, smashed, and refried).
