One of the city's few resorts is in São Conrado, on its own slice of beachfront next to the Gávea Golf and Country Club. Attractions include a cocktail lounge, an Italian restaurant (the Alfredo), and a buffet with feijoada every Saturday. Every room has an original tapestry done by a Brazilian artist and a balcony overlooking the ocean. The nearby mall is much less crowded than those with more central locations. The club floor, on the higher levels, has extra facilities like daily newspapers and a tearoom.
