International flights arrive at and depart from Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini de Ezeiza, known simply as Ezeiza (EZE), 47 km (29 mi) west of downtown Buenos Aires. Ezeiza is served by foreign carriers as well as domestic lines with international routes. Upon leaving the country you must pay an $18 departure tax inside the airport after checking in for your flight; cash (pesos, dollars, or euros) and major credit or debit cards are accepted.
Flights within Argentina and those to and from Uruguay generally depart from Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), known as Aeroparque, about 15 minutes north of downtown. The departure tax for flights to Uruguay is $8, which is paid at the airport after check-in.

Information counters within the airports can help you choose among the various licensed transport services that run between the airports and into town. Generally, colectivos (city buses) are cheapest, but you're only allowed two bags. You can catch the buses outside Terminal B at Ezeiza (2 pesos; two hours to downtown) and directly outside Aeroparque's main entrance (80 ¢; 15 minutes to downtown)
Private bus or van service, with scheduled departures, costs about 25 pesos per person to downtown from Ezeiza and about 10 pesos from Aeroparque to downtown. Manuel Tienda Leon provides comfortable, reliable bus service from Ezeiza every 30 minutes to various spots downtown. Remises (unmarked cars with drivers that work with prearranged fixed prices) run around 60 pesos from Ezeiza and 15 pesos from Aeroparque; they're limited to four passengers. Metered taxis, available at the sidewalk outside the terminals, can be steeper depending on traffic.
The main highway connecting Ezeiza with the city is the Autopista Ricchieri, which you can reach by taking either Autopista 25 de Mayo out of the city or the Avenida General Paz, which circles the entire city. The trip from downtown to Ezeiza takes around 45 minutes. Note that most flights to the United States depart Buenos Aires in the evening, so plan to offset afternoon traffic snarls with at least an hour of travel time to Ezeiza.
There are several routes to Aeroparque from downtown -- about a 15-minute trip. The easiest way is to take Avenida Libertador north to Avenida Sarmiento, and then take a right and follow it until Costanera Rafael Obligado. The airport will be on your left. Traffic isn't usually an issue. A private car will cost around 20 pesos, van service about 10 pesos.
Allow 45 minutes for travel between the two airports. Aeroparque is near Avenida General Paz, which circles the entire city and can connect you with the Autopista Ricchieri toward Ezeiza. A private car will cost around 50 pesos; a van will cost roughtly 25 pesos.
