Automobile Service Stations in Yellowstone NP

Automobile Service Stations

In 2008 all service stations in the park will accept credit cards (AE, Conoco, D, MC, V) at the pump, 24 hours a day. The adjacent convenience stores are open roughly from dawn to dusk during the summer season (7 AM-10 PM during July and August). They carry a limited selection of snacks, beverages, and ice, but no magazines, alcohol, or tobacco.

Repair services are available at Canyon, Fishing Bridge, Grant Village, and Old Faithful from late May through early September. Towing service is available from mid-May through mid-October. Repair stations can fix all common problems (including electronics, fuel pumps, alternators, brakes, bearings) -- and carry a selection of replacement parts. They also receive daily, overnight parts deliveries in the summer.

No services are available for automobiles in the winter, but fuel for over-snow vehicles is available at Mammoth Hot Springs. The nearest gasoline stations in the winter are in Gardiner and West Yellowstone.
