Fodor's Review:

Serving as bachelor quarters for cavalry officers from 1886 to 1918, this red-roof building now holds a museum with exhibits on the early inhabitants of the region and a theater showing films about the history of the park. There are original Thomas Moran paintings of the park on display here as well. Kids and taxidermists will love extensive displays of park wildlife, including bears and wolves.

  • Open: Late May-Aug., daily 8-7; Sept., daily 8-5; Oct.-May, daily 9-5
