Visitor Information in Yellowstone National Park

Visitor Information

More Travel Tips »

Check Yellowstone Today, the newspaper available at all entrances and visitor centers, for details, dates, and times. The Park Service and its concessionaires make a concerted effort to ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate. If you need them, be sure to ask for publications titled "Beyond Road's End," "Backcountry Trip Planner," "Ranger Programs," "Boating Regulations," "Bicycling in Yellowstone National Park," and "Fishing Regulations," as well as one-sheet fliers on day hikes (by region) and historical attractions in the park.

The park Web site makes all these publications available online, in addition to the Yellowstone Resources and Issues Handbook, a 200-page book used by park naturalists to answer many basic questions.
