Emergencies in Yellowstone National Park

In case of emergency, dial 911 or visit one of the park's clinics or ranger stations. In addition to public phones throughout the park, there are phones outside each clinic for after hours use.

Mammoth Clinic is next to the post office in Mammoth Hot Springs. It is the only medical facility in the park open year-round. An MD is on duty all day Monday through Thursday and Friday mornings. Call for an appointment unless you have an emergency condition or new work injury. 307/344-7965. Lake Clinic is behind the Lake Hotel in Lake village. It is staffed with a physician's assistant or nurse practitioner and two nurses. No appointments are taken. Old Faithful Clinic is in the parking lot behind Old Faithful Inn. It is staffed with one physician's assistant or nurse practitioner and two nurses. No appointments are taken. 307/545-7325. There are hospitals with 24-hour emergency rooms in Jackson, Cody, and Bozeman.
