Compass American Guides: Wyoming, 5th Edition
Canyon Visitor Center
Canyon Visitor Center Review
This gleaming visitor center features elaborate interactive exhibits for adults and kids. The focus here is volcanoes and earthquakes, but there are also exhibits on Native Americans and park wildlife, including bison and wolves. As at all visitor centers, you can obtain park information, backcountry camping permits, etc. The adjacent bookstore is the best in the park, with hundreds of books on the park, its history, and the science surrounding it.
