Near Jackson Lake, this complex of Western-style cabins -- some with one room, others with two or more rooms -- are within walking distance of the lake. The property has splendid views and an excellent marina and beach for the windsurfing crowd (you'll need a wet suit because of the cold). There are also tent cabins, which aren't fancy and share communal baths, but they do keep the wind and rain off. There's also a 116-space RV park. Pros: Prices are good for what you get; many nearby facilities. Cons: Little sense of privacy; not all cabins have bathrooms.

This is the place to stay in the Grand Tetons. The view is fantastic and they offer many activities. I stayed in a log cabin and really enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was dated but everything worked. If you are looking for a 4 or 5 star place to stay this is not it. Try Jackson Lodge if this is what you are expecting. The location couldn't have been better to tour the parks. There were animals everywhere. I'd definitely stay here again if I am ever in Yellowstone or the Tetons. I am recommending it to friends
