Permits in Grand Teton National Park

Backcountry permits, which must be obtained in person at Craig Thomas visitor center, Colter Bay visitor centers, or Jenny Lake ranger station, are $25 and required for all overnight stays outside designated campgrounds. Seven-day boat permits, available year-round at Moose Visitor Center and in summer at Colter Bay and Signal Mountain ranger stations, cost $20 for motorized craft and $10 for nonmotorized craft and are good for seven days. Annual permits are $40 for motorized craft and $20 for nonmotorized craft.
