Amangani Review

This exclusive resort built of sandstone and redwood melds into the landscape of Gros Ventre Butte, affording beautiful views of Spring Creek Valley from its cliff-top location. The warm hospitality is Western, but the setting is that of Eastern (as in Asian) simplicity, with tall ceilings, clean lines, and rooms with platform beds, large soaking tubs, and plenty of space. The amenities here are the best in Jackson Hole and include horseback riding, tennis, and nearby cross-country skiing and sleigh rides in winter.

    Snazzy

Went for an anniversary getaway and was really wowed. It's definitely a splurge. The Fodors review has it right on. You're definitely paying for the Aman experience. They know your names as you pull up to the place, make you feel as if you're the only one staying there (we only ran into a few other people while staying there), the setting is unmatched. I enjoyed the little "lodge" they have at the mountain resort. It's actually just space in the performing arts building at JH ski resort, but nice to have a private place to warm up, get a snack. And yes, they do charge you for pretty much any little thing. I would think maybe a muffin or hot chocolate could be thrown in at the price you're paying. I doubt their average guest worries about such things though. Couldn't afford this type of place for all my travels, but wish I could! Loved it. Lots of nice extra touches, but you do pay for it.

    Love Amangani

Stayed here in the off season with my husband for our 25th anniversary and loved it. Very caring staff, wonderful rooms and our meals in the restaurant were the best we had in Jackson.
