Fodor's Review

This sprawling resort stands on a bluff with spectacular views across Jackson Lake to the Tetons. The upper lobby has enormous picture windows and a collection of American Indian artifacts and Western art. Not all guest rooms have spectacular lake and mountain views, so ask for one when you book. The marble floors and polished brass accents add a timeless, classic style to the western decor.

Great Stay

The staff at the Jackson Lake Lodge understands what it takes to may the guests' stay enjoyable. Everyone took an interest in us and made us feel welcomed. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. The food at the lodge was typically better that what you find at a Xanterra run lodge. The only place I think needed some improvement was the service in the bar. It could be somewhat spotty. On the whole it was a great experience. We are looking forward to

We'll go back!

We loved the view and the delicious restaurants. Saw many animals outside in the meadow - finally saw moose after waiting 5 days in Yellowston. We stayed in a charming "cottage" - nice, newer furnishings. We could walk to the pool. Enjoyable time...

Convenient stop for touring

Stayed for 2 nights in hot mid July where the room temp reached 95. We had a room overlooking the Tetons w/a nice 2nd floor deck. Room was clean w/a wetbar and refrigerator, 2 double beds. Pool was an added plus. Mural room was good. The entertainmment was everyone hanging out in back watching the moose stroll over the grounds. Good shopping, great views if a little basic. Convenient for a day trip to Yellowstone.

Great Location; needs updating

I would stay at the Jackson Lake Lodge again for the view and the abundance of wildlife. The rooms (ours was one with a view of the Teton range) need some freshening up especially for a rate of $210 per night. The hotel itself is a treat with wonderful views from the classic lobby. Also, the Pioneer Grill is a nice throwback to 50's diners and serves good food (avoid the box lunches). Note that you will have to walk outside to get to your meals

and the lobby but the fresh air is great and it's a great base for Teton exploring. Also stayed in Jackson and would prefer the JLL location for real Teton living.
