This exciting drive climbs Signal Mountain's 1,040-foot prominence along a 5-mi stretch of switchbacks. As you travel through forest you can catch glimpses of Jackson Lake and Mt. Moran. The trip ends with a sweeping view—from 7,720 feet above sea level—of Jackson Hole and the entire 40-mi Teton Range. Sunset is the best time to make the climb up Signal Mountain. The road is not appropriate for long trailers and is closed in winter.
