Established in 1891, this 2.4-million-acre national forest lets you hike, fish, mountain bike, and ride horses in warmer weather and snowmobile and cross-country ski in winter. There are picnic areas and campgrounds in this vast landscape ranging from sagebrush flats and meadows to rugged mountains.
