Formerly the Lodge at Rawlins, this motel on the east side of town near the 287 bypass has just about everything you could ask for under one roof, from a game room to business services to a barbershop. It's convenient to shops and a grocery store; a free pass gives you full gym access at the Rawlins Recreation Center. Fat Boys Bar & Grill ($-$$$) serves sandwiches, steak, meat loaf, pot roast, and shepherd's pie. Pros: Easy interstate access, provides most amenities you could need. Cons: Outdoor pool is closed once cold weather sets in.
