Yakima River Valley Sights

Bonair Winery

Bonair Winery Review

After years of amateur wine-making in California, the Puryear family began commercial wine production in their native Yakima Valley in 1985 under the Bonair Winery name. One of the older Yakima Valley wineries, Bonair offers a large tasting room reminiscent of a european chalet that sits among the vineyards, and a duck pond, which was voted one of Washington's best places for a kiss. Visit the tasting room and you will likely meet the winemaker, Gail Puryear or his wife, the "wine goddess" Shirley. Bonair makes cabernets, cabernet francs, chardonnays, gewürztraminer port, merlots, Rieslings, and more. Visitors are welcome to picnic here, and vinyard/production tours are available by appointment.
