The Yakima Area Arboretum, on the west bank of the Yakima River at Highway 24 and I-82, adjoins the 10-mi-long Yakima Greenway, a paved path that links a series of riverfront parks. A Japanese garden and a wetland trail are the arboretum's highlights.
