Fodor's Review

After years of amateur wine-making in California, the Puryear family began commercial wine production in their native Yakima Valley in 1985. Bonair offers a large tasting room reminiscent of a European chalet that sits among the vineyards, and a duck pond that was voted one of Washington's best places for a kiss. Visit the tasting room and you will likely meet the winemaker, Gail Puryear, or his wife, the "wine goddess" Shirley. Bonair makes Cabernets, Cabernet Francs, Chardonnays, Gewürztraminer port, Merlots, Rieslings, and more. Visitors are welcome to picnic here, and vineyard and production tours are available by appointment.
