Fodor's Review

This massive brick building surrounded by gardens dispatches daily ferries to Alaska as well as tour boats to the San Juan Islands and whale-watching ships. There's terrific wildlife-watching right off the docks and adjacent shoreline, where sea lions, and otters frolic out in the water as great blue herons, cormorants, and harlequin ducks bob on the surface. The Community Boating Center right by the terminal is a good place to launch sea kayaks.
