Talented chef Lisa Nakamura has studied botany, worked as a flight attendant, and trained under the French Laundry's Thomas Keller—all experiences that have helped inform her spirited, innovative, and global-meets-local approach to cuisine at this dapper but informal restaurant in the center of Eastsound, with an expansive deck overlooking the water. Flavorful fare like cider-glazed bone-in Lopez Island pork chop and a daily fish of the day with house-made red curry and a five-spice rice cake reveal Nakamura's bold but simple approach to cuisine. There's a fantastic Northwest-intensive wine list. Reservations are a good idea on summer weekends.
